March … A milestone month of travel, growth and recognition!
March was a jam-packed month for the Maizey family—filled with global journeys, valuable supplier visits, impactful collaboration, and heartfelt celebrations.
From international expos to our own homegrown events, we stayed true to our purpose: growing stronger connections, sourcing top-tier products, and honouring the people who make it all possible.
ACROSS THE GLOBE FOR INNOVATION
Our Marketing team, Richard and Rikki Maizey, travelled to the Chinese Signage Expo, where they connected with trusted suppliers and explored the latest and greatest in signage technology. From digital innovations to future-forward materials, the expo offered a wealth of inspiration for what’s coming next.
Later in the month, they headed to Belgium for the Grafityp International Dealer Meeting, engaging with international partners and product developers, sharing local market feedback, and continuing to advocate for our South African clients.
MAIZEY MANAGERS CONFERENCE
Building Strategy, Strengthening Teams
March also hosted the Maizey Managers Conference, bringing together leaders and suppliers for strategic brainstorming and collaboration—all focused on enhancing our customer experience.
And of course, in true Maizey tradition, the conference ended on a high note with: Maizey’s Got Talent – our very own staff talent show, packed with laughter and creativity 🎉 Gala Evening – a night of celebration, recognition, and legacy
HONOURING OUR LEGENDS
This year’s Gala held incredibly special moments:
· Lanzi van Rensburg was honoured for an incredible 50 years of loyal service to Maizey
· We unveiled the new Maizey Engineering Building in Durban, a huge step forward for our technical capabilities
· Our Chairman, Mr. Rikki Maizey, received a commemorative plaque and 40-year long service award for his tireless dedication to engineering plastics and innovation
We salute these legends who’ve shaped Maizey into what it is today.
