September in Motion
September was a busy month across every corner of the country. From training and exhibitions to charity and major operational changes, the Maizey team once again showed what teamwork, resilience, and heart can achieve.
Training on the Road
Our training team took to the road this month, traveling far and wide to upskill and empower staff to deliver even better service to our loyal customers.
Most notably in KwaZulu-Natal, training covered not only sales but also our dedicated warehouse staff, ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible customer experience. Thank you to every team member who made the effort to learn and grow - your commitment fuels our ongoing success.
Maizey at FESPA Africa
September saw Maizey proudly exhibiting at FESPA Africa 2025 , alongside our partners Lamin8 Tools and Polyvantis. From wrapping tools to PLEXIGLAS®, with highlights in textiles and more, the event was an incredible opportunity to showcase our partnerships and our commitment to innovation.
The hard work paid off - Maizey’s booth won "Best Large Stand" at FESPA 2025! A massive well done to all involved, and especially to our Events Coordinator, Belinda Pansegrouw for her tireless efforts in setting up and managing the event. We can’t wait to see what next year brings - perhaps even a surprise or two.

The Great Trek
September was also marked by one of the biggest operational undertakings in Maizey’s history: Relocating our distribution network from Dekema Road, Wadeville, to our new home in Jansen Road, Jet Park, which will also serve as our future Head Office. The move took us from an 8,000 sqm warehouse to a 20,000 sqm facility - more than doubling our capacity. This expansion allows us to improve efficiencies, strengthens operations, and ultimately provide even greater service to our customers.
Over R150 million of stock - more than half our total R350 million stock holding - was moved while daily operations continued to keep customers supplied. While there were some delays, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused, and assure our customers that every effort was made to minimise disruptions.
A special thank you to Wynne Meyer (COO), the operations team, and our dedicated DC staff — Kobus (Manager), Speedy, Christo, and the entire distribution crew - for pulling off this massive move under immense pressure.
Chairman’s Charity – All Hearts Foundation
This month, Maizey's continue to support the All Hearts Foundation (www.allheartsfoundation.co.za), a unique Wolf and Animal Sanctuary in Hartbeespoort, South Africa. While best known for giving rescued wolves a safe home, the Foundation has expanded to care for animals of all kinds - from hybrids and dogs to cats, horses, pigs, birds, and even free-roaming wildlife.
The Foundation operates solely on donations and sponsorships, and are currently in need of funds to continue providing shelter, medical care, and love to the animals that depend on them. Displays have been set up in all Maizey branches to raise awareness. If you're visiting, please take a moment to learn more and consider contributing. Every bit of support helps give these animals a second chance at life. This is an ongoing initiative - Maizey is committed to supporting the All Hearts Foundation each month, keeping their mission alive in our hearts and our branches.
Heritage Month Celebrations
September also reminded us what makes Maizey's truly unique: our people. Branches accross the country celebrated Heritage Month with braais sizzling, colours flying, and cultural pride on full display. It was a celebration of diversity, unity, and the shared values that hold Maizey together.

Looking Ahead - October
The journey doesn’t slow down. In October, we’ll travel to Düsseldorf for the K Fair, where we’ll meet suppliers face-to-face and scout exciting new products to bring even more value to our customers. Meanwhile, our training teams will once again be on the road, sharpening skills and deliver the very best service.
Continued Support
None of these achievements would be possible without the dedication of our staff and the trust of our customers. Your commitment, hard work, and belief in Maizey keep us moving forward.
As we grow, adapt, and face new challenges, we remain focused on supporting you - our people and our partners - every step of the way.
